Bob Newsome has been knocking around some pretty wild places for the last 40 years. A Wyoming native, in itself a rare thing, he was born and raised in Cody. When he isn't running Sunlight Sports he and his family travel the world in pursuit of mountains to climb and places to explore.
Bob has been a part of Search and Rescue teams for 24 years and teaches hi-angle, white water, and roadside rescue for Yellowtone and Teton National Parks Service, Teton and Park County search and rescue departments. |

|
He has been a member of the ski patrol for 12 years and has over 30 years climbing experience. Bob began Sunlight Sports in 1971, adding retail insight to consumer use, a background which ha provided a lot of exposure to equipment and equipment use.
Bob facilitated the start of the EMT program in Cody over 25 years ago. |
